Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at the Ohio State University

The Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity is an interdisciplinary, engaged research institute at The Ohio State University that works to create a just and inclusive society where all people and communities have opportunity to succeed. Established in May 2003, the Kirwan Institute was named after former university president William E. “Brit” Kirwan, in recognition of his efforts to champion diversity at OSU.
